Treasure Coast Child Summit returns Sept. 24-25
Guardians For New Futures will host its annual two-day summit at the Public Safety Training Complex in Fort Pierce, bringing together experts and community leaders to address child protection and advocacy. Registration and sponsorships are available at gfnf4kids.org.
World’s tallest heart sculpture opens in Tradition
Hundreds gathered Aug. 23 for the unveiling of “Heart in the Park,” a 73-foot, $7 million sculpture by artist JEFRË at the Shoppes at the Heart Plaza. Funded by Mattamy Homes, it’s now a landmark in Port St. Lucie’s Tradition community.
Florida added 7,300 jobs in July
The state’s private sector employment grew 1.4% year-over-year, outpacing the national average. Finance, hospitality, and government led gains, while unemployment held at 3.7%. More than 408,000 job openings remain statewide.
