Air travel exhibit coming to the Children’s Museum of the Treasure Coast
The Children’s Museum of the Treasure Coast in Jensen Beach is preparing to launch an immersive aviation-themed exhibit that will give families a behind-the-scenes look at air travel, from security screenings to emergency evacuations. Created in partnership with TMX Aero, the exhibit will allow children to sit in a pilot’s chair and explore a realistic cockpit experience. Construction begins in January 2026, and organizers say nothing like it currently exists anywhere on the Treasure Coast.
Port St. Lucie’s International Fest celebrates global culture and diversity
Hundreds gathered at Walton & One for Port St. Lucie’s third annual International Fest, which showcased global fashion, international cuisine, and performances ranging from Junkanoo marches and mariachi to Afro-Cuban salsa and Bollywood-inspired dance. The event also continued its community feedback surveys and featured expanded sports demonstrations to coincide with the development of the upcoming $80 million professional soccer stadium opening in early 2027.
Youth Guidance reopens renovated facility in Vero Beach
Youth Guidance celebrated the grand reopening of its newly renovated Vero Beach facility, marking a major milestone for the organization’s commitment to expanding youth workforce development programs. The upgraded space — formerly the public library — will serve students from high school age through 24 and is planned to operate as a Red Cross reunification center during emergencies. The building will also house Indian River County’s only Center for Child Abuse Prevention, further strengthening community support services.
