🟣 Free Trees, Big Wins & Can’t-Miss Events

Port St. Lucie has plenty to celebrate right now: from being named one of America’s top small cities for growth to earning the coveted All-America City Award. We’ll also share details on how you can snag a free Florida-friendly tree, spotlight Treasure Coast Food Bank’s fight against hunger, and preview three can’t-miss networking events.

The city will host a community-wide celebration Friday, Sept. 12, 6-9 p.m. at The Port District. The free event includes food trucks, a DJ, a photo booth, and the Naturally PSL Environmental Stewardship Awards. The honor recognizes PSL’s sustainability initiatives, from septic-to-sewer conversions to stormwater upgrades and green space protection.

A CoworkingCafe report ranked Port St. Lucie the third fastest-growing small city in the U.S. (2019-2023). Key drivers include a 22.2% population surge, a 47% GDP increase, and a doubling of new business applications. Educational attainment and median earnings also saw sharp rises, putting PSL firmly on the map for broad-based economic progress.

Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful will host its Spread-the-Shade Tree Giveaway on Saturday, Sept. 6, 8-10 a.m. at Clover Park. PSL residents can drive through to receive avocado or Barbados cherry trees, plus a limited number of silver buttonwood trees. Proof of residency required; first-come, first-served.

Tuesday, Sept. 2, 11:45am-1pm at Mission Kitchen. Lunch is $20 at the door; enjoy food, connections, and a featured monthly speaker.
